Job Description:

The Public Relations Coordinator is responsible for writing public relations and marketing materials for all facilities of the Masonic Villages, its entities and clients, as well as the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. Responsible for working cooperatively with various departments to develop and implement communication and social media strategies.

 

Knowledge/Experience Requirements:

 

1. A minimum 2-year degree in a social media/communication related field.

 

2. Minimum of 3 years’ of communications and social media related experience required.

 

3. Proficient in Word and Adobe. InDesign and Photoshop experience preferred.

 

4. Strong knowledge of social media platforms.

 

5. Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

 

Essential Functions/Professional Competencies:

 

1. Writes and edits effective communication for various audiences and print, broadcast, online and social media including, but not limited to: websites, videos, brochures, magazines, newsletters, emails, advertisements, and other communication venues. Understands abilities and limitations of various media and determines best options for target publics. Demonstrates knowledge of AP style and edits copy for accuracy. 

 

2. Coordinates with departments/entities and implements a plan for each social media outlet to achieve communication goals. Develops, manages and implements content calendars for all social media outlets. Collaborates with other staff, locations and departments to create, edit and share written and design content elements daily to keep all social media platforms dynamically changing. Assures content adheres to editorial and marketing standards.

 

3. Plans, develops, implements and reports on social media strategies and campaigns utilizing research and industry standards to increase reach and engagement. Analyzes data and trends to capitalize on opportunities to further promote the organization. Provides monthly report of social media engagement. 

 

4. Builds a sense of community among social media users by engaging with audiences in a timely manner. Monitors and interacts with various audiences online and moderates all user-generated content as a representative of the organization, working with other departments as needed to obtain and share accurate and appropriate information.

 

5. Assists with implementation and analysis of paid digital marketing campaigns using social media. 

 

6. Generates ideas and writes content for magazines, direct mail, newsletters, brochures, menus, posters, calendars, annual and community reports, blogs, video scripts and other materials to promote and market Masonic Villages and its subsidiaries and clients in an effective and cohesive manner. Works with departments to ensure accuracy of information and adherence to branding standards. 

 

7. Coordinates monthly activity publications, which includes developing a schedule, creating and editing content, consulting with design team on layout and arranging production and delivery with printer. 

 

8.    Identifies needs and arranges with staff and residents to coordinate schedules and production of promotional and marketing videos and photography.

 

9. Manages multiple projects effectively and accurately. Cooperates with staff and clients from various departments and organizations to determine and execute quality outcomes.  

 

10. Participates in budgeting process for social media needs.
